Ebony McKnight

Ebony is a certified HR professional with with almost two decades of direct experience.

An Ohio native, Ebony earned a Master’s in Labor & Human Resources and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). She is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and holds a certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Ebony has developed and instituted departmental plans & strategies for various reputable Fortune 500 corporations, non-profit organizations and Start-up businesses (within an array of industries across the country) such as Guitar Center, Exceptional Children’s Foundation, Payscout, Lane Bryant, GE Money Bank and others.

In her personal life, Ebony is passionate about identifying and enhancing the unique qualities of those within her reach which aligns seamlessly with her professional career. She strives to serve as an inspiration for those seeking to understand their talents so they themselves can achieve a life of fulfillment to grow into the best version of themselves. She is also adept at working with innovative minds and thoughtful thinkers who understand the power of collaboration, strategy & leadership.

When she isn’t working, Ebony enjoys spending time with loved ones, holistic wellness, traveling, music and restaurant-hopping to discover new cultures and cuisines.

September 2016-2018

The entrepreneurial spirit was born during my time at Payscout. The leadership team was dynamic and thrived based on the hearts and minds of its operational results driven talent.  As the new HR leader the CEO would always tell me to “Run my business.”  Those 3 words quickley resonated with me and let me know that he was relying on my expertise to build out the HR department to effectively support the team…globally…From there the seed was planted! 


October 2018-June 2021

I continued my HR career with other reputable organizations and found myself reaching a point of wanting my own business.

I wanted to take some much needed time off from my tenured corporate HR career and thought I would be spending the summer simply relaxing.  The second I entertained that idea a past leader ironically reached out to me.  He expressed that I would be a perfect resource for an organization called Catch-A-Fire”…a nonprofit that connects professionals with other nonprofits to volunteer their expertise and services to their business.  It was perfect timing for me to lend my resources.  I partnered with 3 nonprofits to help with their HR needs and simultaneously landed my very 1st paid HR client.


October 2021-December 2021

Continued to dedicate HR time supporting the Catch-A-Fire nonprofits and successfully secured new paid clients.


January 2022-Present

Since referrals brought about more clients, the next step was taken to officially LLC McKnight Resource Solutions. Since the beginning the number of clients has grown exponentially.  To continue the growth and further enhance the visibility and credibility of the business, a face for the business has been built by way of this website. The platform serves as a digital storefront, showcasing our services and expertise to potential clients far and wide. And as they say, ‘The rest is History!’
